Contract 5:  Water Treatment Plant

Contract No. 5 includes the construction of a 15 mgd membrane water treatment plant, raw water pump station, ground storage tank, and high service pump station.  The membrane water treatment equipment was procured by the City in June 2003 and was awarded to Zenon Environmental.  Contract No. 5 includes assignment of the membrane equipment contract to the contractor and construction of the water treatment plant facilities including the buildings, piping, equipment, and instrumentation. 

Contract No. 5 was awarded to Pepper-Lawson on April 27, 2004 for the amount of $17,640,000.  Cost reduction measures were implemented and a Change Order in the amount of $2,218,252 was executed to reduce the overall project cost to $15,421,748.  The schedule for completion is 420 days from the date of Notice to Proceed.
